King promotion arrives in POCKET MYTH on April 9

The April 9, 2026 update brings the King promotion system.

King promotion

Pokémon with King-grade potential can be promoted to King once they meet all of the requirements below.

Requirements

• The Pokémon is shiny
• Its Alpha level has reached 3
• Its friendship has reached 255
• Its EVs total 510
• Its quality has reached red +5
• Its battle proficiency is at least 100

Promotion effects

• Higher base stat bonus
• On top of the Alpha level 3 passive, a new effect: when it enters the field, one random stat (Speed, Attack, Special Attack, Defense or Special Defense) of one opposing Pokémon is lowered by 1 stage

Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Arceus, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Solgaleo, Lunala, Zacian, Zamazenta, Koraidon, Miraidon, Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, Ice Rider Calyrex, Shadow Rider Calyrex, Zarude, Eternatus, Dark Mewtwo, Dark Lugia, Ultra Necrozma, Dark Dialga, Dark Rayquaza, Dark Ho-Oh, Rising Sun Solgaleo, Full Moon Lunala and Winter's Gaze Kyogre.

Optimisations

• Adjusted the reputation-point deduction conditions and the round duration in Season 5

Bug fixes

• Fixed an issue claiming outfit album collection rewards
• Fixed Haze not clearing Rising Sun Solgaleo, and Water/Ice Kyogre not being cleared by Solgaleo
• Fixed dungeon achievements that could not be completed
