Form and Ecology
Rattata is a common wild Pokémon found all over the Kanto region, designed after the brown rat: dark brown fur covers its body, its belly and mouth are white, its ears are large and pointed with pink inner ears, and its tail is thick, short and covered in ring-shaped patterns. Its most distinctive feature is a pair of ever-growing front teeth (1cm per week), which it has to keep in check by gnawing rocks and trees, otherwise they affect its eating and can even threaten its life.
An omnivorous, social Pokémon, Rattata usually moves in groups of 10 to 20, with nests built in grass or near human dwellings (such as school corners or under park benches). Its sense of smell is keen enough to detect food within 10cm underground, and its diet includes Berries, seeds and even garbage. Despite its small size it is fiercely territorial, and when threatened it raises its fur and lets out a shrill cry to call its companions.
Ability Analysis
Base stats: 253 total, with Attack (56) and Speed (72) as its strengths and Defense (35) and Sp. Def (35) as its weak points, a classic fast, hard-hitting and fragile role.
Evolution Line
Level 20 -> Raticate (Normal)
After evolving, it grows to 0.7m and 18.5kg, its front teeth double in length, the fur on its back turns grey-black, and its Attack and Speed rise further (Raticate's base stat total is 415). Some regions have an Alolan form (Dark + Shadow type) with a more aggressive look, adapted to surviving in cities.
Event times and rewards follow the in-game schedule. POCKET MYTH is a live game, so details may be adjusted by the development team.
